A charger is only as good as its circuit

A Level 2 charger runs on a dedicated 240-volt circuit that has to be sized for the charger, the wire length and the capacity of your panel. Getting that right is what keeps the installation safe and reliable.

As a licensed electrical contractor, we take care of the whole job: checking your panel, running the circuit, installing and testing the charger, and pulling the permit when it is required.

Installing the charger you already own?

EV Charger Installation FAQs

COMMON QUESTIONS
Do I need a Level 2 charger?

Level 1 uses a standard outlet and adds only a few miles of range per hour. Most owners choose Level 2 because it charges much faster and can usually refill the battery overnight.

Will I need to upgrade my panel?

Not always. If your panel has enough spare capacity for the charger, no upgrade is needed. We check this first so you only pay for what the job requires.

Can I install the charger myself?

A charger needs a dedicated high-amperage circuit, and in most cases this work requires a permit and a licensed contractor. A poor installation is a fire risk, so we recommend having it done professionally.

Can you install a charger for my business or apartment building?

Yes. We can plan and install chargers for commercial and multi-unit properties, including the circuits and panel capacity needed to support them.

How long does an installation take?

Many straightforward residential installations are completed in a single visit. The timeline depends on the distance from the panel to the charger and any panel work that is needed, and we will give you an estimate when we quote the job.
